I'm Trying...

To focus on taking care of my sweet sick baby.
To unpack from my trip, make my house feel like a home again.
Get caught up on emails, phone calls...

...but all the while my heart keeps aching. Very quietly, way below the surface. Knowing so many people are hurting...I have no idea why my heart is wired this way. There are many things that reach me deeply. Many forms and places of injustice and poverty that make me ache.

But right now, for this moment, it is the beautiful people of Haiti. I just can't even imagine...it is also, dear friends here that are deeply affected by all that is going on. Kristi and Kelly who are supposed to be in Haiti right now, at an orphanage they adore, and go to every year with Hands and Feet project.

And then even more, dear parents who are in the process of adopting their children---now having to trust from so far away, like my friend Debra and so many, many more who are longing to hold their children in their arms. If you think to, please say a prayer for these sweet children. That somehow a way will be made for them to come home.

Just watched this beautiful video by Aaron Ivey...Debra's son Ronel is in one of the first shots of the video.

much love :)
