I have to set the scene a little...
We fly standby, as employees, which means I have to dress up a bit when I go to the airport. Brian drove to Atlanta and Kallen and I flew there to meet him. So it was me by myself, my sweet boy, our stroller and our carseat, as well as our carry on filled with enough toys, snacks, and videos to keep him entertained and hopefully distract him from kicking the seat of the person in front of us (HOPEfully...)
So, picture all that trying to get on the "employee bus", through security, and past everyone sitting in first class-----oh wow. And then, just as we got settled in our seats, we found out that we had at least a 2 hour weather delay----and its 8:30pm----so, definitely going to be a crazy night :)
We ran up and down the halls of the airport, tried to get on every escalator, and rode all the "moving walkways" until we finally had a hugely explosive temper tantrum in the middle of George Bush Intercontinental----but the good news is that we DID make it to Atlanta! And thus began our vacation...!!!
We stopped in Charlotte the next day on our way, and ate dinner at cabo fish taco which we had heard about on the food network, and it was GOOD!!!!! :) Played around a little on the street while we waited for our food...

(loved this wall)

Kallen's definitely hit the "train stage" we kept hearing so much about, and its precious---all the time "choo--choo"---love it!!
And then, before you knew it----we were THERE!!!!! (just kidding---there were quite a few car trip meltdowns between Atlanta and Duck, NC---but we DID make it, and that's all that matters--ha!!!!)
