...we USED to bring Cardiff when we came to Austin. And she'd get to stay here. But now she stays at home in the backyard...poor little girl!!...
...went on a hike on one of our favorite trails...
...got to catch up with some wonderful friends!! (thank you so much Michelle and Mike!) They just moved here from NC, so it was really fun to laugh with them about all the very dramatic Texas "flair" and passion!! :)...
...they are going to have a baby in just a few months and are going to be SUCH great parents!!!...
...AND it really FELT like FALL this weekend, and was just beautiful!!!!!!
...and we had such a great time being together doing some of our favorite things! Life has just gotten a lot more hectic around here, and as other people have said, and I DEFINITELY agree, you do get kind of caught up in your role as a "responsible adult" when you have a child, and its so important (at least for us) to every now and then remember what we LOVE about each other. And for Brian and I its totally about being impulsive, about traveling, about being out in nature and being active...and truly it was so refreshing to get to do that. And to just talk about nothing, you know? Not our bills, not what we need to do in the yard, not what needs fixed in the house...just about us, and life and really sometimes just nothing, just joking around....of all the "favorites" we did this weekend, THAT was my favorite!

I'm back!!! Glad you were able to get away and have such a nice time together as a family....and with some great friends!
