well, obviously I don't have as much free time on my hands cause its a lot harder to sit down and write than it usually is. usually i'm wondering if i'm spending too MUCH time on the computer and ever since we've come home i haven't even thought about touching the computer! :) we are having such a good time in virginia...i haven't been home since last april when i was still pregnant, so its kallen's first time on the east coast!! not only has it been amazing having extra hands to help out, its just so fun having my baby in my HOME town...where I grew up...just kinda makes a perfect circle :)
its so nice to have cold crisp nights and colorful leaves and to see dear friends that we usually only get to talk on the phone with. some of our closest friends, kyle and mandy, have had a sweet baby boy and it has been just incredible getting to see him in person...and remember kallen being that tiny and precious...and dream of the fun they're going to have playing together. brian and i both said that between he and kyle and the two boys there's going to be a LOT of mischief going on! :)
last night brian and i got to go on a DATE which was just so much fun and just what we needed...getting to sit across a table and just talk and reconnect over great food on a cold night--then we got hot chocolate and tried to walk around a beautiful old neighborhood but of course, i was wearing flip flops which don't quite work out here when its cold, so we had to cut our walk short! guess i need some real shoes, huh?? :)
and its just so fun for both of us getting to see our parents with our little boy---its been fun this week seeing my parents get to be around kallen and play with him...its just so special to have such wonderful families that we love so much...
on a technical note kallen is just starting to get his first little tooth, so that has been an interesting experience...just when we thought we were starting to figure him out (ha!!) all of a sudden he isn't sleeping at night, he's a little more 'high maintenance' than normal, and just a little out of sorts. got some 'nighttime' baby orajel, and that has helped a lot, so we'll see! right now there's a little tiny shiny white spot on his gum where that little guy is trying to pop through--good grief this all happens so fast!! still can't believe he's almost 6 mos!!...
well, i'll post some pictures later! hope everyone has had a wonderful thanksgiving and holiday with family and friends!!!
we are so thankful for all of the love and wonderful people in our lives!!!
